Two papers accepted for ICDL-Epirob 2018

Two papers were accepted for ICDL-Epirob 2018 in Tokio, Japan. The paper Skill Memories for Parameterized Dynamic Action Primitives on the Pneumatically Driven Humanoid Robot Child Affetto by Jeffrey Frederic Queisser, Hisashi Ishihara, Barbara Hammer, Jochen J. Steil and Minoru Asada presents work learning control for a demanding pneumatically driven child-like robot in order to facilitate execution of physical manipulation tasks.
The paper From social interaction to ethical AI: a developmental roadmap by M. Rolf, N. Crook, and Jochen Steil presents the author's stance on the current state of debate on ethical robot behavior. The authors propose to rather focus on a developmental stance towards learning appropriate social behaviour through exposing a robot to social learning from scratch.
