Prof. Torsten Kröger, Full Professor of Computer Science and Director of Intelligent Process Control and Robotics Laboratory (IPR), and Co-Chair of the Institute for Anthropomatics and Robotics (IAR) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) visited the IRP today. He is an Alumni of IRP and
the founder of Reflexxes, the state-of-the art motion control library. From 2014 to 2017, he was a Staff Roboticist and the Head of the Robotics Software Division at Google. In his talk, he presented research in real-time motion planning, transfer learning, and reinforcement learning, in particular on robot manipulation.
