IRP puts award winning Franka Panda robot in operation

One of the first award winning Franka Panda robots was already delivered to IRP has immediately been put in operation. The new robot received the Deutscher Zukunftspreis and sets a new standard for an easy-to-use and rather affordable platform that is suitable for human robot interaction. It will be used at IRP to continue its long term research activities on simplifying physical human-robot interaction und robot programming, in particular in the context of assembly tasks. To this aim, IRP develops controllers that aware human factors and personalized to their users.
